I am a self-taught artist .
When maternal duties were all done and dusted, I plunged into an orgy of working in myriad media and studied art in all its varied manifestations for a period of 5 years in an attempt to find my creative feet. I finally settled on egg tempera as the medium best suited to my concepts of inner spaces.
I held onto this medium for the longest time. Finally tiring of the upkeep of this most difficult of mediums I searched for a medium that would give me the immediacy and brilliance of graffiti. This I found in paper, thread and acrylic on canvas, as here I was able to work on much larger supports than egg tempera would allow.
To my heart anchored brain my work is an exploration of uncertainty and the art that can be created from it and never about a neat resolution or redemption.

That's cool Tina, you see a lot of stuff on here, and is hard to take it in but occasionally you find something which just jumps out and affects you. I love the use of thread and the drawing and painting, there is something renaissance about the spatial treatment and subjects are mystical and "weird" in the good sense. Very strong painting.
